I am Yoyo, a graduate of Art and Design. As I stand here today, I feel immense gratitude for the journey we have shared. I still remember my first day on campus, filled with excitement and nerves, not knowing the friendships and experiences that awaited me.

Participating in various projects and exchange programmes opened my eyes to new perspectives and cultures. These experiences not only enriched my education but also created lasting memories with amazing peers. I also want to thank my family for their unwavering support.

As we move forward, let's embrace the future with hope. Remember, "The future belongs to those who believe in their dreams."

My university years at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong were a vibrant blend of challenge, discovery, and transformation. Joining a dynamic community fueled by ambition yet collaboration. I served as President of the Students Association of Applied Computing and as a Councillor in the Students Union. It gives me the privilege to inspire fellow students, orchestrating bold initiatives that brought our faculty together. I led initiatives that fostered camaraderie among students and participated in hackathons like the Cathay Hackathon and DLEP Data Boot Camp, tackling complex data challenges with talented teammates.

Living in the university hall was the most enriching part of my journey, where lifelong friendships formed and diverse cultures converged. The social activities enhanced my interpersonal skills and balanced my academic life.

Ultimately, the late-night brainstorming sessions and supportive friendships turned challenges into cherished memories—these experiences will continue to guide me in the future.

Graduating as someone who experienced both the pandemic’s remote learning and the post-pandemic return has been unforgettable. As a freshman at HSUHK, online lessons surprisingly kept me connected. My CCI buddies were truly warm and supportive—thank you all for being amazing groupmates these four years! In my third year, I was thrilled when Dr. Holly Chung invited me to join the TEDxHSUHK core team. Collaborating closely, tackling challenges together, and building lasting memories marked a highlight of my time here.

I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to study abroad at Hanyang University and University of Oxford—opportunities made possible by HSUHK. Meeting global peers and hearing their unique stories inspired me to curate HSUHK’s 45th anniversary exhibition- Extra+Ordinary, encouraging everyone to discover the subtle wonders in daily life and break free from routine. I am excited that this marks a promising beginning to my journey in curation.

I am very grateful to have studied at HSUHK. The professors are experienced and knowledgeable, always ready to provide assistance when students need it. The classmates are also very friendly, learning from and helping each other.

The program I have taken not only allows me to learn academic knowledge but also enables me to understand and inherit Chinese culture through various cultural activities. This diverse and interactive approach enriches my campus life, blending leisure with learning.

Once again, I sincerely appreciate the guidance given by the professors and the unforgettable experience that HSUHK has provided me.

A memory of my university life that I hold dear is from the final year of my studies, when I had to make a short film. Not only did I become closer to my classmates and friends, but it was also a very eyeopening experience as I learnt about the different stages in the entire film production process. Before this project, I was also only familiar with video editing and had little to no experience with aspects such as scriptwriting, storyboarding, and directing. I was able to experience all these processes firsthand, and by the end of the project, I gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to film a scene from start to finish.

Stepping away from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong marks the close of a meaningful and valuable chapter. My four years pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in English were fun, inspiring, and fulfilling, with a focus on active learning and a fundamental intellectual transformation.

Within the four wonderful years of University, my focus remained sharply on the core curriculum rather than extracurriculars, this dedication allowed me to immerse myself in the material and learning fully. I didn't just study texts or papers; I developed the essential skills of critical analysis, persuasive writing, and collaborative project management. The countless research papers and group assignments refined my ability to think deeply and articulate complex ideas with absolute clarity.

This exceptional academic journey, supported by dedicated professors, has prepared me to engage thoughtfully with the world and the future that lies before me. I am immensely grateful for this intellectual foundation and eager to apply this skill set to the challenges awaiting me. Thank you so much for such an amazing 4-year experience.

As a member of the first graduating class of the BA-PSY programme, I feel I have grown alongside its expansion. Studying psychology has not only equipped me with knowledge of human thoughts and behaviours but has also deepened my self-understanding and appreciation for the power of relationships.

These four years have been incredibly fulfilling; I became a member of the Honours Academy, participated in an exchange programme in Prague, and completed an internship at the Hong Kong Red Cross. Despite moments of self-doubt, helplessness, and confusion along the way, my perseverance and repeated attempts revealed that my abilities extend far beyond those challenges. I always remind myself when feeling insecure that “If I never try, I'll never know what I am capable of."

I am grateful to all my groupmates for the projects we have completed, as well as to the teachers and staff for their support and guidance, which have enabled me to pursue my own path with confidence.

My time at HSUHK has been more than just getting a degree; it's been a journey of growth filled with people for whom I am deeply thankful for. I will always remember those long nights in the library with my friends, wrestling with complex company Law cases. We were not just studying; we were building a support system, sharing frustrations and small victories over cups of instant noodles.

I was incredibly fortunate to have such supportive professors. They did not just teach from the textbook, but they shared stories from the real world and offered patient guidance during their office hours, which often felt more like life lessons than purely academic advice.

My roles as a Student Ambassador and Department representative taught me that university is a community. From organising our film salon debates to voicing student concerns, these experiences demonstrated the power of connection and gave my campus life a greater sense of purpose.

As I move on, I carry not just a bachelor’s degree, but a heart full of gratitude for the friends, mentors, and experiences that have shaped me. Thank you, HSUHK, for everything.

Throughout my university journey at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, I am truly grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped me today. Majoring in Economics has not only enhanced my analytical and problem-solving skills, but also deepened my understanding of economic issues in the business environment. When doing coursework, research, and hands-on projects, I have developed critical thinking and collaborative abilities, which have equipped me with the qualities needed to enhance competitiveness in the job market.

My exchange experience in Finland was especially remarkable. It allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, embrace new cultures, and broaden my global perspective. I am also honoured to have received several scholarships that recognized both my academic performance and talent development, which encouraged me to keep striving for excellence.

I am sincerely thankful for the guidance and encouragement of all my professors, whose support has been invaluable to my studies and personal development plan. I’m excited to start my career in the banking industry and embrace the new challenges ahead. Last but not least, I wish all graduates a successful and prosperous future.

The BBA-Financial Analysis Programme has been a transformative journey that strengthened my understanding of finance and asset management, preparing me for a successful career in investment management and corporate finance.

Among the many enriching courses, I was most impressed by Equity and Bond Valuation (FIN4017 & FIN4002), Derivatives Trading Strategy (FIN4003), and the hands-on experience with Bloomberg. These courses provided a solid foundation for anyone aspiring to excel in the financial sector—and they remain some of my most treasured and enjoyable learning experiences.

Beyond the classroom, participating in case competitions and completing an internship allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, sharpening my skills through practice. Challenges were inevitable, but they became valuable opportunities for growth, illustrating just how far I had progressed.

My time at Hang Seng University of Hong Kong was about dedication and community service rather than academic achievements only. The most unforgettable experience during my university life was organizing and participating in the ‘Reaching Out Amity 2024’. Witnessing the smiles on the faces of the elderly as they reminisced about their youth, profoundly gave me that the joy and sense of accomplishment derived from these smiles are feelings that academic pursuits alone can never fully provide. This journey taught me the true meaning of empathy, teamwork, and resilient leadership and strengthened my resolve to dedicate my time and energy to volunteer service even though my academic workload is demanding. The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong provided this platform with me, transforming me from an ordinary student into a socially responsible leader. When choosing General Business (GB), its flexibility was key. I didn’t fear an unclear future, because GB’s cross-disciplinary courses let me explore freely. This freedom sparked my interest in accounting, laying the groundwork for my Master of Accounting and Finance Analytics at PolyU.

Outside the classroom, my exchange at Beijing’s UIBE expanded my perspectives and fulfilled my dream of experiencing mainland universities’ academic atmosphere. Besides, working as a part-time student assistant also honed my communication and time management skills.

Over my four years at HSUHK, every step of my growth—from academic to my exchange experience and assistant role—was made possible by my teachers’ guidance, my classmates’ companionship, and my parents’ support. I am deeply grateful for this enriching chapter, which will continue to inspire me.

Looking back on my years at HSUHK, I feel deeply grateful for every opportunity and connection that made my university life so meaningful. Studying Global Business Management has not only equipped me with valuable knowledge but also broadened my perspective on the world. My exchange experience in the UK and the two-week trip to Australia with the Honours Academy were truly life-changing—both taught me to be independent, open-minded, and courageous in exploring new horizons.

During my three years at university, I am profoundly grateful to all my professors for their unwavering support. One professor’s words in my first HR class struck a chord with me: “HR is not only about management; it is also about psychology.” This insight ignited my curiosity and set me on a path to explore the true essence of HR development, which encompasses the skills needed to inspire, support, and empower individuals, recognizing that each person's journey to success is unique.

HSU became my second home, as it undoubtedly offered countless opportunities for personal growth and made my university life truly fulfilling. As a marketing major, I appreciated the student-oriented courses that enabled me to showcase creativity to professors. I have gained a solid foundation in business analytics and decision sciences, complemented by specialized knowledge in business intelligence and data mining, which have equipped me to embark on a career in the IT and business sectors. The BSc-AIN programme offers a comprehensive curriculum covering insurance, actuarial science, and risk management, which has equipped me with a good foundation for developing an analytical-oriented career. The professors are always supportive and approachable, offering guidance not only in academics but also in shaping our career paths. The programme also organizes regular networking and mentorship events, helping us build valuable connections and stay informed about the latest developments in the insurance sector.

Last but not least, the subsidy schemes and internship opportunities offered by the programme have been invaluable to my career development. The subsidy schemes encouraged me to pursue professional qualifications, such as the Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams, during my undergraduate studies, which enhanced my professional profile. The internship opportunities allowed me to gain practical experience and exposure to the insurance industry. I am truly grateful for the learning experience, resources, and opportunities the BSc-AIN programme has provided.

Studying at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has been a remarkable journey filled with growth, friendship, and discovery. As a student of the BSc-Data Science and Business Intelligence programme, I had countless opportunities to apply knowledge beyond the classroom—from research projects to competitions like the EY Open Science Data Challenge, where our team won the global championship. I am grateful to my professors and peers for their constant support and encouragement. If I had to summarise my HSUHK journey in three words, they’d be: passion, perseverance, and positivity! These four years have been an incredible ride filled with growth, laughter, and meaningful connections. From an eye-opening exchange program in Japan to summer school at Oxford, global internships in Japan, and countless campus moments, I gave my all — and got back even more. HSUHK’s PPE programme became my anchor and my community. Together with classmates, I helped launch the Student Association, which soon felt like a big family. We hosted book clubs and movie nights, and somehow squeezed in the laughter between deadlines. In the classroom and in hallway debates, I learned to examine policy from many angles and to respect different voices. I was also lucky to study on exchange in Oslo, where I met lifelong friends from different cultures and came home with new ideas. To the teachers and friends who backed me: thank you for the guidance, patience, and pep talks. I’m heading into the next adventure with a curious mind, a sturdy backpack, and plenty of good humour.

After four years of studying translation, I am enormously thankful to The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) and the School of Translation and Foreign Languages (STFL).

The University has provided students with various resources, including abundant learning materials, advanced translation technologies, numerous recreational facilities, earnest staff support, and diverse career options. These all have fostered our whole-person growth from campus to society.

In STFL, faculty members’ engaging pedagogy and genuine willingness to provide personalized guidance have deepened teacher-student bonds and enhanced the learning atmosphere. They are experts in their respective fields and passionate educators who have demonstrated strong commitment to student success.

I am also deeply grateful for having participated in a series of simultaneous interpreting services, an overseas exchange programme, and a variety of extracurricular activities that allowed me to pursue my passions and polish my practical skills.

My learning experience at the University and the School has been extraordinarily fulfilling. With unwavering love and steadfast support, I am ready and eager to welcome fresh starts, limitless possibilities, and transformative breakthroughs.

My time in the MA-CHI program was a transformative journey that extended far beyond textbook knowledge. It not only solidified my academic foundation—encompassing cutting-edge scholarly insights and research on the modern inheritance and application of both contemporary and ancient knowledge—but also significantly boosted my research confidence and critical thinking abilities.

I am particularly grateful to the professors for their professional expertise and attentive guidance. Going forward, throughout my life's journey, I will always uphold the core principle of "Dun Pin Li Xue" (Uphold Morality and Strive for Learning) as I move forward. I am sincerely grateful to HSUHK for the solid academic training I have received, which has greatly assisted me in my work in public administration and the management of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The guidance from my professors has helped me develop an aesthetic perspective and broaden my worldview. As a result, my ongoing studies, including my current doctoral degree in public administration, have progressed smoothly, allowing me to achieve good results.

I have had the opportunity to participate more actively in the conservation and transmission of Hong Kong's cultural heritage recently. I hope to continue collaborating with my alma mater to support the cultural initiatives of Hong Kong. Embracing the spirit of "Erudition and Perseverance," I strive to continually improve in both my work and studies.

I still remember my first class with Professor Amy. She asked us why we were here, and I replied, "For fun." Looking back now, that answer really came true. My professors and classmates have given me so many wonderful memories from this past year. Professor Gavin offered us many opportunities to take part in different teaching activities and academic meetings. In the second semester, my classmates and I visited a local primary school, where we learned and taught together with the teachers and students there. I spent many days and nights preparing homework and presentations with my teammates. Through our teamwork, we achieved a lot together—not just good grades, but also lifelong friendships. At the end of last month, I had my first interview and received a teaching job at a primary school in the Chinese Mainland. Now I am teaching a group of lovely children and applying what I learned from my professors. I am truly grateful for everything.

As I graduate from the MA in GELCS, I recall my interview with our programme director, Dr. Jay Parker. He asked why, in an age of powerful AI, anyone should still study literature. I had only love for books, but no convincing reply. I joined to search for one. After a year of study in this programme, I found it: humans bring warmth, memory, and lived attention to texts. We sense the ineffable—tones, silences, textures—that no AI model can truly inhabit. The programme trained me through close reading, conversation, and rigorous writing, and it deepened my capacity to be moved and to move others. To anyone uncertain about the humanities amid AI's rise: come, read with us, and you will discover your own answer.

As I reflect on my master’s journey in Strategic Communication, I am filled with deep gratitude. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the teachers who nurtured and guided me throughout this transformative experience. Professor Song’s rigorous approach and industry insights broadened my perspective, while Professor Yu Yang’s gentle mentorship helped me strike a balance between emotion and reason. Dean Cao’s wisdom inspired me at pivotal moments, and I remain grateful to all my teachers who illuminated both my academic and personal path. Their teachings reshaped my view of communication as a tool to foster dialogue and build bridges. As I return to university teaching, I embrace the mission of passing on the knowledge I gained at Hang Seng University. Solving one challenging problem after another, I have come to appreciate my patience and recognize my limits. Through extensive reading, I have found out what genuinely interests me. Studying Theatre and Performance at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has been an eye-opening and inspiring journey that broadened my understanding of both Western and Eastern performance cultures. From exploring ancient Greek tragedies and comedies to examining the philosophies and masterpieces of influential playwrights, the programme helped me build a solid foundation in theatre studies. Beyond the classroom, participating in the first Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo and attending lectures by directors such as Stan Lai and Tang Shu-wing deepened my appreciation for contemporary theatre and its diverse expressions. The Theatre Studies programme is both academically rich and creatively engaging, allowing me to experience the fusion of global theatrical traditions in Hong Kong and to gain a deeper understanding of cross-cultural perspectives and the world itself.

My journey in the Master of Business Management (MBM) programme at HSUHK has been a transformative chapter of growth and opportunity. Serving as the Student Representative was a privilege, allowing me to bridge our cohort's voice with the programme office and strengthen our community.

This role was a springboard to incredible experiences, from being featured in Ming Pao to representing as a Peace Ambassador at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok. The learning continued globally, from receiving the Outstanding Student Scholarship to collaborating on AI and sustainability solutions at University College London.

These moments bridged classroom theory with real-world impact. My deepest gratitude to the MBM faculty, mentors, and my inspiring peers for your unwavering support. I am now empowered to carry these skills and values forward, committed to creating meaningful change as a future business leader. I am proud to be an HSUHK graduate.

Graduating from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong with a Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence has opened new doors for my personal and professional growth. My time at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in the MSc in Global Supply Chain Management programme was both rewarding and inspiring. It is a great honor for me to study the Master of Science in Insurance at the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. Here, I have been fortunate to meet teachers and classmates who are both excellent in theory and practice. The insurance industry is a very important sector in Hong Kong. The Insurance Science program has provided the insurance industry with many outstanding talents in various fields. I believe that through studying this program, we can better strive for a place in Hong Kong.

The MSocSc-PPRG at HSUHK was a truly valuable experience that broadened my perspective. I work as a civil engineer in the Government and the insights I gained from the courses have been invaluable especially in this time of increasing risks from modernization, such as climate change, pandemics, and technological hazards. The curriculum provided a comprehensive blend of theoretical and practical knowledge, equipping me with critical skills essential for effective risk governance in public policy.
